Before You Sell On Ebay, Take The Most Important Step...

If you want to earn a full-time income selling on Ebay, you must take the first and most important step in all successful business ventures: you must accept that it is possible.

This probably sounds really trite--and maybe it is, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less true.

Talk to anyone who now earns a full-time income selling on Ebay and they will undoubtedly tell you two things: the first is that anyone can do it; and that is true. Over 430,000 people currently sell on Ebay to earn a part or full-time income. And the second is that the hardest part is getting started. This is also true.

As with any type of business, whether it be on the Internet or in the brick-and-mortar world, the mindsent that the entrepreneur brings into the venture is absolutely crucial to its success.

If you, the entrepreneur, give up in the face of challenges, assuming you aren’t skilled enough to persevere, you will never know what benefits overcoming those challenges could have yielded. Instead, you will slowly chip away at your options until you are powerless and without confidence.

As a network marketer and the owner of three Internet businesses, I have seen dozens of people struggle and give up because they doubt they can actually achieve what other people have. Many of them give up on the very presupice of a breakthrough because they lack the confidence to work through problems and overcome challenges.

I personally have struggled with this more than once selling on Ebay. I have been so frustrated at times by bad luck and seemingly insurmountable challenges that I was ready to give up. . .only to have a major breakthrough several minutes later.

So, unless you aren’t curious enough to wonder where you could have been if you had just persevered that extra few hours--or extra few minutes--I suggest that you factormotivation and attitude into your Ebay selling.

Whatever it takes, make sure you accept that you can reach your goal before you start selling on Ebay. If you don’t, you will find yourself putting all new ideas on the backburner or writing them off as impossible.

DropShip Wholesale - 7 Secrets to Holiday DropShipping Success

Copyright By Leah Bradshaw

If you're planning on having products dropshipped to your customers for the holidays then you need to read this article.

Start your holiday dropshipping on the right foot with these 7 helpful tips that will make business easier for you and give your customers a shopping experience that will have them coming back for more.

Tip #1: Find out what the final date is to get items ordered for them to be shipped in time for the holidays. Post this information on your website, as well as emailing it to your customers. This saves you the headache of dealing with customers who order for the holidays that gifts did not arrive in time.

Tip #2: Offer customers a reason to do all or most of their holiday shopping with you. Hint: they can avoid the dreaded holiday crowds by having their items shipped right to their door. A second reason would be that by doing all their online shopping with you they can save on shipping by combining it all into one box.

Tip #3: Offer specialty "Gift" packages of a collection of your items and give customers a discount. Many dropship companies offer these gift "baskets" or "kits" around the holidays anyway. Just be sure to "feature" them in a prominent spot on your home page and in your newsletter. These give the impression to gift recievers of a "wrapped" feeling making it feel more like a gift than a box full of products.

Tip #4: Find out if the dropshipping company offers gift wrapping and if they do offer it to your customers. Some people love this because they have packages shipped to distant friends and relatives that won't be able to make it to family gatherings for the holidays.

Tip #5: Give your customers a holiday "gift" certificate of 10% or more off of orders over a certain price amount that are made by a specifed date. For example, for orders made before the date that ordes must be made for them to be shipped in time for the holidays. Another popular one is to offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount. The holidays are the season for giving, and when you give your customers a "gift" certificate they feel like you have the holiday spirit.

Tip #6: Use holiday graphics on your website, order, and product pages. This gives your pages a cozy holiday feel and gets customers in the "mood" for holiday shopping when they visit your site.

Tip #7: Follow up with your customers after the holidays are over to make sure they got what they ordered in the righe sizes/colors, etc. Make it easy for your customers to exchange items for the right sizes if they need to. This is just good customer service, but can be hard to find online. make it easy for your customers and they will come back.

Following these tips can help make your customers more satisfied with their experience when buying from you. Good customer service is the key to repeat orders.

Selling On Ebay-Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Donations

This week I am donating all profits for my ebay sales to hurricane katrina disaster relief. I have been absolutely amazed at the response of so many people in the USA who have taken the time to either donate money, supplies or their time to hurricane katrina disaster relief.

If you'd like to follow my example and donate your ebay profits for this week here is the place to visit, updated by my good friend and fellow blogger Tinu Abayamu-Paul. She has a huge heart. Go to her website at:

Should you Use Free Image Hosting?

Well, that's entirely up to you, but some sites may not be reliable. Generally though, if they are reliable (meaning your images are up 99.9% of the time) with the the free version then they will be with a paid one. I would try out the free version of any site if they have one for a couple of months before upgrading just to get a feel for how reliable the service and uptime is.

If you don't run alot of auctions you may want to stick with free image hosting instead of paying for an upgrade.

It is a good idea when first starting out selling on ebay to use free image hosting until you get your feet under you and decide what niche you want to pursue (what, you don't have a niche)

We'll discuss niche marketing, what it is and why you should be using it in a future post. In any case, you shouldn't be paying alot for your image hosting.

Should you Host Your Pictures With Ebay?

While the first picture is free and you should always upload an image if you want it listed in the image gallery, I would not recommend using Ebay's image hosting service.

Remember it's an added $0.15 to your listing fee for each additional picture after your first picture. And the more images of your item you have the better your bids are in general.

Because people want to know as much about what they're bidding on as possible so you should show as much pictures as possible to capture details, characteristics, and flaws.

Hosting free is definately a better choice. And if you can find a good deal on hosting (like the deal at photobucket.com for $25.00 per year for unlimited picture hosting) then if and when you need to host more pictures this is the way to host your images instead of hosting at ebay.

Selling on Ebay Image Hosting

As promised I have been hosting my auction images at photobucket.com and have found that they are very easy to use and give a good amount of free space for hosting images.

For those of you who aren't savvy about using html code, don't worry, once you upload your images there is a line of code below the image that you just copy and paste into your auction description and viola, there is your image!

So should you host your pictures for free, should you host them on ebay, or should you pay for premium hosting?

We'll discuss it next time, so stay tuned!
