Selling on Ebay-Dropshipping Sources

We've already discussed dropshipping (see yesterdays post or click here) and how you can use it to profit from ebay auctions. Today we're going to discuss how to find dropshipping resources so you can get started selling items on ebay.

First of all you need to beware of Dropshipper scam artists, or companys that carge you a $400 membership fee for the privlidge of dropshipping their products. Most of the time they try to sell you a useless website and are not really dropshippers at all.

The key is to find REPUTABLE dropshippers. A reputable one will not charge you any kind of "account setup fees" or "membership fees" just to open an account with them.

However, you need to realize that some reputable dropshippers will charge you a "drop ship fee" for every order you place. A drop ship fee is basically the "handling" part of shipping and handling. Basically the warehouse has to pay the person who takes the item off the shelf and puts it in a box then takes it to the post office and ships it-a service to you since you bypass this step when you drop ship.

When you buy something on the internet you are also charged a shipping and handling fee to cover the shipping costs and to pay the staff to package and mail the item. Wholesale suppliers usually sell things in bulk quantities and since they don't have to packange and individually ship each item...just throw the cases or pallets on the back of a truck and off they go. When they drop ship for you they have to do alot of extra packaging which can be time consuming and the employees have to be paid for that time.

The price of these fees should be included in the shipping costs of your acutions if possible, or add it to the starting price for your auction to cover your costs.

When you drop ship the supplier warehouses all items so you don't have to worry about storing them, buying boxes, stamps, foam or other packaging material.

Some Drop Shippers charge Drop Ship Fees on a "per box" basis. It's rare, but does happen sometimes. Now, that does NOT mean that there is a separate Drop Ship Fee for each ITEM; it's for each BOX. Most of the time, with multiple-item orders, the distributor can put several items into the SAME shipping box, and you STILL only pay the Drop Ship Fee ONCE. This helps your bidders shipping fee if they bid on more than one item.

Dropshipping is really the lazy mans way to making a living by selling on ebay. To find out where you can get a list of reputable dropshippers I would only recommend trusing one person-Chris Malta.

Chris was sick of seeing all the "Instant Internet Businesses" so-called "wholesalers" who were actually Middlemen. In short, you need real Wholesale Product Suppliers. It's just very hard to find the real thing. So when Chris started his own ECommerce company, he searched the 'Net high and low for suppliers, and saw just about every fake, outdated wholesale product source list and pyramid scheme on the 'Net. None of them were any good. He spent months and a lot of money developing Product Sourcing contacts.

He is also one of the product sourcing editors for the official Ebay Radio Show and a host of the Entrepreneur Magazine Radio Show. The big guys trust him for their information. IF you'd like to learn more about Chris and his drop ship sources visit: http://www.WorldWideBrands.com
